Aaron’s continued interest with art evolved as he grew older. “In high school the teachers saw potential in me-they helped me with supplies and gave me constructive feedback on what I could do better.” Aaron identifies this period of his life as one of “great exploration-seeing what other people are doing with art.” Aaron’s favorite medium is water color but notes; “I do most of my work in acrylics. I like charcoal as well.” Aaron’s motivation to create is, “Seeing people enjoying what I create-to see the looks on their faces. Knowing that people have all kinds of obstacles and knowing that they keep pushing themselves to be better.” Aaron is in recovery from mental health issues, “I am getting better and better every day-art is my peace, it is my passion. It is my therapy. It releases stress. A lot of my work is centered on affirmations.” Aaron is hopeful his work/art will encourage others. “I want people to have my art inspire them and help them overcome obstacles that are keeping them from achieving their goals.”
